So to the EP, the front cover of which, is beside this text. I had a great shoot with Matt Cahill Photography t'other night, and lots of the photos he took will be appearing around and about my sites over the coming days. The shot we finally chose for the front cover was taken at the look out point on top of Bluebell Hill, just outside Maidstone. I'm delighted with it, I hope you like it too.
The name of the EP came from the middle section of my song October. Whilst I do write most of my songs in major keys, most of my lyrics are quite sombre and sad (I find it hard to write anything else, despite being a fairly happy chappy). It seems fitting then, to have a title like that. The Ep will be released on Monday 28th October at all good online retailers, and I'm streaming a sort of documentary-come-radio show to launch it on the Sunday evening (27th) at 9pm. All the details of that one HERE
A quick plug for Hot Vox. Last night was my third show for them, and they definitely know how to pick a venue. The Paradise is a glorious pub with a wonderful atmosphere, it was a pleasure to play there. I really didn't know what to expect when I started booking shows in London, having heard lots of horror stories about promoters and dodgy venues. Well Hot Vox are one of the good guys, I'd recommend them to anyone. I already have another show booked with them too, this time during the day at Acklam Village Market in Portobello Road on Novermber 3rd. More info on that one soon, but I've gotta say i'm really excited to be playing in one of the most iconic streets in London Taaahn.
That'll do pig, don't forget, Sunday night at 9pm, EP out the following morning. take care. x
