They say always open with something positive, so here it is; my car passed it's MOT. Hopefully that had the desired effect.
Last weekend (the worst weekend for weather so far this year), I played at Bedgebury Camping, in a wonderful little teepee with a roaring fire and tree stump benches. The rain was incredible on the way down there, at one point we were crawling along the motorway at 10 miles an hour with our four-ways on, nobody could even see the road. Thankfully the trip was well worth it, a very kind audience and the atmosphere of a group of people huddled in a tent who are all in this together! Well, mixed with the fact that I'd have had to have been absolute bollocks for anyone to choose the weather outside over staying and listening. Special mention to Ladyface for basically being 'the sound guy' all night.
The next port of call is The Spice of Life in Soho on Friday night. Laid on by HotVox after a great evening at the Enterprise in Camden, I can't speak highly enough of these guys, and look forward to working with them for many moons to come. Special mention to Sarah Doe, who mentioned Hotvox on facebook once, and is the only reason i got in touch with them. I'm on at 7:15, follow the link below for more details.

On Saturday I'm playing at The George and Dragon in Swanscombe, their 2nd ever Beer Festival, partly in celebration of all the awards they're getting for brewing all those tasty beers on site. There's live music all day, and I'm on at about 7pm, and then doing a bit of drinking from 8pm. Promises to be a bit good.
Last but not least, I'm hugely excited (honestly, i know I'm a bit sarcy but I'm bloody ecstatic about this) to announce that I'm booked in to record my next EP. I'll be recording with Graham Waller at Emeline Studios in Whitstable, in the first week of October. More details to follow, but I can tell you right now that I will be recording October, Formative Teenage Years, Falling For It and 8 Lines. More details when I have them, and also more on my September Tour. Ciao x
